How do I purchase your product?

Email the following to Info@validatedsoftware.com:

  • Purchase order
  • Signed VSC EULA
  • Software, hardware and tools needed for VSC to begin work. These are outlined in your quote. An alternative to this is to send authorization for VSC to purchase these items.
  • If the order is associated with Micrium or other third party source code, please provide evidence of a software license.
  • For orders less than $10,000 VSC requests payment in full at the time of order. Please send an email notice to Info@validatedsoftware.com once the transaction has been completed.

Orders over $10,000 are usually associated with multi-stage deliveries by VSC and invoiced in accordance with its associated value as listed in the quote. See the quote for more details. Make payments as directed in the quote via Bank Wire/ACH.

All cost of money transfers will be borne by customer

Additional or special terms of conditions, allowances and accommodations may be found in the VSC Quote.

How are the products delivered?

There are two ways to receive product from VSC:

  • Hard-copy – also known as a tangible delivery, physical media such as a DVD is sent via courier
  • Electronic - via the FTP account we set up for your use

Depending on the type of order you may receive product via one or both of the methods listed above.

Smaller orders (less than $10,000 USD) such as Validation Templates are normally provided via FTP. You may elect to receive hard-copy. In this case a shipping and handling surcharge may be applied.

Staged deliveries involve using the FTP site for all initial and intermediate deliveries. The final delivery containing all elements of your purchase is provided in the hard-copy format.

VSC deems that the product is “shipped” and “Delivered” at the time we notify you of its availability via the FTP site or for hard-copy deliveries at the time it is delivered to your site. You will be invoiced for any outstanding balance at that time.

What is a multi-stage delivery?

VSC utilizes a multi-stage delivery process so that our customers can start work as soon as possible. While the customer may want to change some aspects of how we prioritize, the normal priorities generally involve VSC shipping software components as they become ready, followed by one or more sets of hardware specific certification artifacts. The last delivery made by VSC constitutes the final deliver and it will contain all elements there were quoted.

Examples of multi-stage development and delivery:

Validation Suite (No software development)

  • Quoted as two components
  • Core Validation Suite (pre-existing component)
  • Port aspects of certification and testing
  • VSC shall ship the Core VS within 5 business days of accepting the order
  • In conjunction with shipping the Core VS, VSC shall invoice for the amount as indicated in the quote
  • VSC shall ship the port aspects of certification upon its completion. This is also known as the final delivery.
  • The customer will be invoiced for any remaining balance at the time of the final delivery

Validation Suite w/ VSC to produce and deliver software

  • Quoted as three components and delivered and invoiced in this order
  • Core Validation Suite (pre-existing component)
  • Software
  • Port aspects of certification and testing
  • VSC shall ship the Core VS within 5 business days of accepting the order
  • In conjunction with shipping the Core VS, VSC shall invoice for the amount as indicated in the quote
  • VSC shall ship the software as it becomes available
  • VSC shall invoice for the software deliver as indicated in the quote
  • VSC shall ship the port aspects of certification upon its completion. This is also known as the final delivery.
  • The customer will be invoiced for any remaining balance at the time of the final delivery

What about customer support?

Most of VSC’s products come with Customer Support included in their price. This is usually a 90 day term but may vary with product. The quote will provide more details. The term starts on the day of the final deliver but customers may begin to utilize customer support at the time their purchase order has been accepted by VSC. The customer will have direct access to the Customer Support Liaison that is assigned to them once the order has been accepted.

Email and phone support is provided 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Pacific). International customers may make arrangements for support outside normal business hours upon request. This would involve making an appointment directly with their assigned Customer Support liaison. On-site support is not included as part of this support.

While VSC will generally attempt to address all customer questions, the intent of the support provided as part of the product delivery is to support installing and using the VSC products. VSC assumes that those seeking support:

  • Are familiar with the overall methods and techniques used to develop and document safety critical software
  • Have access to, have read, and understand the applicable standard
  • Have the skills and competence to undertake the project they are working on

For novice development teams or those seeking support options with a wider scope of support contact Please call 760-448-5391 or email: Info@validatedsoftware.com to discuss those options.
